Pledoarie pentru o economie / societate participativă

Distributism înseamnă pur și simplu re-distribuirea puterilor din economie, politică și mass media, de la concentrări monopoliste totalitare – către componente mai mici, înseamnă revenirea la adevăratul capitalism, la adevărata democrație și la o societate liberă, personalistă nu colectivistă, bazată pe valori tradiționale, pe experiența, pe înțelepciunea bunul simț adunate / rafinate de înaintașii noștrii / sute de generații succesive. Adevărata politică a viitorului va fi anti-oligarhică. Un nou idealism politic va crea o nouă economie morală care va răspândi proprietatea, va favoriza micile entități economice. Educația continuă, democrația participativă, asocierea, procesele peer to peer vor fi instrumente, metoda se va baza pe relatiile umane. Dezvoltarea va fi pe orizontală nu pe verticală, resursele vor fi globale dar concretizarea va fi locală, cu triumful sferei micro asupra sferei macro. Periferia va deveni noul centru, producătorul va fi și consumator, clientul va fi și sustinător, va fi comerț etic și piată morală, noua economie va promova scopurile și nu mijloacele, virtutea și nu utilitarismul. Pot să înțeleg venerația pe care Bunu a avut-o pentru oamenii locului. Tata o are și el. Dar eu n-am putut avea aceeași venerație. Dacă aș fi putut, astăzi nu eram păstor de oi, ci păstor de oameni. Din păcate, moștenirea bunicului meu a rămas fără moștenitori.
